OK, so my capsule test failed because the damn thing never left my stomach, even after 8 hours! wtf. That's why I have to have it placed now, with an endoscopy. Oh craptacular.
And of course my insurance company doesn't want this - oh big surprise. Do they ever want to pay for anything?
So, now I wait, with no meds for anything since they will interfere with the results. I wait for some pencil-pusher to decide if this is necessary.......while I suffer.
What do I say to insurance pencil-pushers? Karma will bite u in the ass some day. And they know it.
Thanks for finding my blog and adding me to your blog roll. I feel you on both the dumb capsule test and the STUPID insurance. Insurance companies and their ridiculous policies are the bane of my existence. Good luck with the approval. It always amazes me that people who know nothing about what you are going through get to decide if something is medically necessary. Blah! Hang in there, us IBD sisters are here to support you.

ReplyDeleteThanx for commenting. When I was diagnosed, I looked for blogs or stories about women (and men too) who had UC or Crohn's, to read how they handled things, and how they got by day to day. At first I didn't find too many, but I persisted and found they were out there. So, I created this blog with the idea to link as many other blogs as I could - so maybe a newly diagnosed gal or guy, could find people easier.
I have been following your trials, and I am praying for your surgery, that you get what you want and need, it goes well, and you are well afterwards.
If you find other blog sites of IBD sufferers, let me know, so I can link them and make them searchable - for others to find.
And insurance - it sucks - I've been waiting a long time for this approval; I'm trying to be patient. And I know this won't be the last time. Love, Jayne
